Stay away!! I could say we got bad service, but that would be an insult to places with bad service. We waited for 20 minutes while the guy who 'serviced' our section managed to ignore us in a number of creative ways (bussing tables, throwing away trash, kibitzing with the equally inattentive bar tender, etc.). Our guy only had 2 other tables; the place was half empty. Finally gave up after 20 minutes. Telling everybody we know...

Any bar good enough for Hulk Hogan is good enough for me. As stated in other reviews, this place affords some of the best views in Clearwater Beach...spectacular, as some would say. At sunset, this place gets wild (and they give away free shots, have drink specials, etc.) Want a mellow sunset? Probably not going to find it here. The price was right. We had two local craft beers, three well-made mixed drinks, two Roy Rogers, two Shirley Temples and some nachos with (spicy ass) homemade guacamole and (less spicy ass) homemade pico de gallo salsa. 37 bucks. Not TOO bad for the beach. BTW, the guacamole, although not bad, was nothing overly special. BUT after 3 drinks, it became some of the best guac I've ever eaten! The bartender, Chelsea, is a PRO. It wasn't too busy...after all, most normal people don't go to a rooftop bar during a rainstorm at 1pm. Anyhow, it was empty except for us dumbasses from Ohio, and she had lots of time to talk and fill us in on the local buzz (where to eat, where NOT to eat, which attractions are cool and which are rip offs, etc). MORE IMPORTANTLY, she knew beer and was able to make my wife happy not once, but twice with strong drinks that were "fruity and sweet, but not too sweet." Great place. And even though the Hulkster didn't show up that day, I'll be back. 4 stars after one visit. If the place is consistent, I'll bump 'em up to 5!

Interesting place to see the sunset. Free shots at sunset but it was very packed the evening I went. The wait staff seemed overwhelmed as it took us flagging down our server to get an order of any type in. The kitchen was slow. The bar was slow. If the staff can't handle the amount of people maybe it's time to reconsider the amount of either, or both, that you have on the roof at any one time. The food and drinks were OK. The salsa was excellent! The view was amazing.

Great view, poor service! It took us almost 20 minutes to get a drink. The servers behind the bar were more interested in talking to their friends than working. I might be back, but for the view only.

Wanted to see the sunset but it was overcast. Thankfully we had Princess as our bartender because her beauty and charm made up for the cloudy skies. She was funny and knew so much about the area that I thought she should forget bartending and become a tourist guide! But she said she loved her job and she was great at it. Spectacular views of Gulf of Mexico, and must place to visit when in Clearwater. Great view and fun place to go. Food and drinks are excellent. The only downside is smoking . . . I realize it is a bar, but it is hard to enjoy your meal when someone is blowing cigarette and cigar smoke your direction when you are trying to enjoy your meal.

This place is exactly as yelp would describe two stars: I've experienced better. We were vacationing in CB and were told we couldn't leave until we tried the rooftop bar. We actually tried it twice during our stay but Unfortutnely it didn't meet the mark for me. The first visit we had was just after sunset. We watched the sunset from the beach and headed over for a few drinks since it was such a nice night. It was just two of us. We walked in and found an open table that someone had just gotten up from. We waited a couple minutes for it to get cleared off before sitting down. After about 5 minutes, we decided to clear it ourselves since it didn't seem like it would be cleared. It took our waitress a while to come take our drink order. We are pretty simple: Jack and Coke and a Cranberry and Vodka. The jack and coke was fine, my cran vod was very light in color and very strong. Don't get me wrong, I like strong drinks, but this was almost inedible. I let the ice melt a bit and it was tolerable. It took awhile to get our bill and even longer for the waitress to come retrieve our card. We finally just brought it to the bar to cash out. Our second visit wasn't any better. We showed up about 5 minutes prior to the sunset. The bar was handing out free shots and playing "When the Sun Goes Down" from Kenny Chesney. I thought that was a nice touch. I did not have a shot so I am not sure what they were giving out. Again, we ordered jack and coke and cranberry vodka. Mine tasted the same while the jack and coke tasted and smelled like tequila and coke, blah! Again, our waitress was no where to be found so we took the drink up to the bar. The bartender took a sip with a straw and he couldn't decide what it was either. He poured a new one and it was finally correct. We had a couple friends that joined us to watch the hockey game. They ordered a jack and coke and Hennessey and coke. They both did not like their drinks either. It is pretty disappointing that the four drinks we ordered were either wrong or tasted bad. The bar gets one star for location within town and one star for the awesome sunset views but I would rather have good drinks and a mediocre view than crappy drinks and a great view.

Waiting to see the sunset here and maybe I will add an extra star. Rain all week has kept us from it but either way we were disappointed with our drinks and the fact that they close at midnight everyday, even on Saturdays. The view of Clearwater is beautiful but I would not recommend buying any of their water downed, weak, filled to the rim with ice, drinks. Supposedly everyone gets a free shot at sunset and the countdown clock/timer is a nice niche.

Great place to watch the sunset. Bonus is they have fresh home made guacamole and salsa. Delicious. As far as a bar menu goes, really tasty. Atmosphere outstanding.

A rooftop patio with an incredible, unobstructed view of the pier and beach. Food is nothing special, but the view and atmosphere makes up for that. The servers and bartenders are very friendly. They give out a free shot for everyone as they count down to the sunset.

Bar is located on the Pier 60 hotel roof with a spectacular view of Clearwater beach. Bartenders were excellent, friendly and the drinks are reasonably priced and strong. The Rum punch bucket was sooooo tasty and looked beautiful with cherries and fruit slices. The bucket is only $14 and really all you need. They were projecting a show/movie or something on the building behind the bar but I wasn't sitting facing that direction and really the beach is the best view you could have. We would love to check it out during sunset but the last night we were in the area they closed give rain storms.

We ducked in here to find shelter (and some mojitoes) during a storm on the beach after riding the trolley all day. Great view, good drinks. But in my excitement, I forgot my credit card. When I called back the next day, they had it right there, and one of the extremely sweet employees made sure it was mailed home to me in PA. Above and beyond, since it would have been a total pain to drive back and get it. Fabulous friendly service. I won't forget it!

Great view but worst service with horrible attitudes. Waited while 4 servers walked past us not acknowledging we were sitting there. We're tempted to leave but had paid $20 to park. Very limited menu. Not worth the wait

This place is pretty cool. If you are looking for a killer view of the beach/ocean and a cold drink, look no further. We did not stay for sunset, but I think we would check it out if we did not have a high room with a great ocean view. We went when we were pretty hungry and craving something like a burger. Come to find out, they only have a very limited bar menu. We got drinks and hummus and pita chips, which took the edge off. But we left in search for a more substantial meal. The drinks were very good, however, and I could definitely see going back. If only they had a little grill up there!

View-great. Atmosphere-nice (aside from the creepy old man who asked for our room number. DO NOT talk to anyone who goes by the name of "Jimmy from Georgia"). Live music-cool. I have to downgrade because the bartender was unwarrantably rude. I was strapped for cash so I ordered a PBR, but I generally tip well over the standard 20% because I've worked in service and I know it sucks. I was with two girlfriends and they ordered your usual fruity girly drinks. We went to the bathroom for about 5 minutes, taking our drinks with us (God knows Jimmy from Georgia could be right around the corner with some GHB). By the time we came back, a group had taken our seats at the bar, so we sat at a nearby table. My friend went to get her tab. I don't know if the bartender was mad because he thought we left during the 5 minutes we were in the bathroom, but he slammed down my tab in front of my friend and rudely said: "This is for YOUR friend." Really? I hadn't even finished my first drink, and I definitely didn't want to order another when we were spoken to in that manner. Oh wah, women have to urinate too. No need to be upset because you thought I walked out, when clearly we chose to sit right in front of your face again post-pee. Or is it just the fact that he couldn't see my sassy, sunburned-to-a-crisp forehead as clearly in the darkness of the open seating area as opposed to the bright lights of the bar? I know my tomato-y freshness excites you, but don't get jealous when I can't sit quite as close ;)

I came here with the manfriend to catch the sunset and a few drinks on a recent Wednesday night. We are locals in the area and have never been here before, but had been wanting to check it out for a while, so finally we did. After taking the elevator up to the 10th floor and stepping out onto the patio, we had a feeling we were the only locals there. During this time of year, it's packed with tourists, even on a random Wednesday night, the patio was overflowing with people. So we arrived a few minutes before sunset and were in awe of the view. As others have said, that's the main thing to come here for. They do a free shot at sunset for all the guests, but we didn't partake. On this particular evening it was very windy and a bit cold out, so we only stayed for a few moments to scope it out and enjoy the beautiful view. I would come here again, but perhaps will wait until all the spring break crazies have left and the weather is a bit warmer as the wind gets a bit out of control 10 stories up.

Service was not bad, especially when you factor in the crowd that was there. Prices are extremely fair; especially when you visit other beachside outings and realize the prices the competition charges for a drink. Parking can be a nightmare... but the location can be breath taking.

  • Dexter B.

Awesome view and like everyone says, free shot at sunset. It gets really packed so go early if you want a seat. Went on Friday, 5/22 and female server was in a bad mood and showed it. Solid drinks, and overall, a great experience. Advice is to find servers that can pretend to not hate their job.

BEST view of the beach. Such a great place to go and relax while you sip the delicious drinks and take in the view. I recommend seeing the sunset and enjoying the complimentary shots here. It can get pretty busy, so come early or on an off night.

  • Shabba R.

Excellent value! Sure it's not the Hyatt Regency which is a block away, but do you want a weak drink that costs $14 or do you want a strong drink that costs less than half that?! I'm a local and have been to Jimmy's numerous times after finally hearing about it; it's a relative unknown compared to the 'tourist' bars that surround it, and thankfully the prices reflect that. They give out a free shot at sunset, and the view is awesome from up there. Late 2015 edit after a few years. The commercialization of everything in and around Clearwater Beach is starting to take its toll on Jimmy's. The prices have been on a slow creep upward and they're not quite as strong as they used to be. I guess it was inevitable, but with the view, it's still a great option and doesn't carry the quite as high price as the beachfront bars or the hotel bars.

Great place to take friends and family when in town. Great view and the sunset shots are a plus. Try to get there a little early to get a good seat. Drinks are a little higher than most bars. If you are thinking of parking there ask about what they are currently offering to try and reimburse you for your $20 parking fee. Otherwise there is a few choices for lots close by that have hourly options. You can also catch a game here on the projector after the sun goes down.

Came here for lunch and drinks. The views of the beach and the harbor are truly breathtaking. The server behind the bar was very friendly and helpful. When we asked her to take a picture of us she even went out of her way to go around the bar and climb on a chair to get a better view. The food selection is somewhat limited but what we ordered came out quickly and tasted great. The Malibu drinks are delicious and I highly recommend the rum runner and the "tea". I think we'll be back once we are in town again.

Jimmy's Crows Nest was a bit hard to find- it's on the tenth floor of a hotel right across from the water in Clearwater, FL (across from Pier 60). But don't let that dissuade you from coming here. This is a must-visit for a sunset cocktail when you are in town. My husband, sister-in-law, her boyfriend, and I checked it out while down here for Phillies Spring Training. Unfortunately, we were there on the chilliest day of our trip, so we guzzled down our drinks and hurried inside to get warm. But the sunset from that vantage point was amazing! Drinks were a bit pricey for the area ($7 for mixed drinks, $5 beers) but it's worth it for a drink or two. I'd suggest getting there early to get one of the tables facing the water. Jimmy's loses a star due to the odd layout of the bar. The bar area is in an enclosed space right in the middle of the patio. I wonder why the designers of this spot didn't put the bar in the BACK of the patio, allowing for more of the sunset/water to be viewed by patrons. But regardless, this is a great spot to enjoy a beverage, get some nice pictures, and enjoy the views.

My mom and I went here to watch the sunset, it was great! We came about 45 minutes before sunset and there was still plenty of seating, most people started coming about 15 minutes before or so, which is when it's most crowded. Their hummus and pita chips is great, although I don't really like hummus, and they give free shots at sunset. The view is so beautiful, we even saw a group of dolphins!

One star for the view. I am here now and it's been 20 minutes...20 minutes and still no drink.

Great view but worst service with horrible attitudes. Waited while 4 servers walked past us not acknowledging we were sitting there. We're tempted to leave but had paid $20 to park. Very limited menu. Not worth the wait

Great view. Drinks aren't that pricy for location which is a plus. Ummm I did have a fireball shot which was pretty much the size of my drink

Amazing view, especially at sunset. Shots at sunset when the bell rings and the most perfect view. Pretty good piña coladas and specialty beers. Wish that this was a no smoking area but overall great place to stop for a drink.

Went here last minute for the sunset and so glad we did. Great spot! You do get free shots at the countdown for sunset-that was fun! Not much to eat, just go for some drinks.

Would have liked to have a drink here but we stood in the hallway along with another group of people with the door locked at 615 pm. Staff were inside but nobody ever tried to tell us what time they would be opening.

This place is fantastic. Gorgeous views, the best quesadillas on the west coast of FLA and top notch service. Dana and Grady made me the BEST margaritas I have ever had. Seriously.

The view of Clearwater Beach and the city is breathtaking. Great spot. We were there for a quick bite (very limited menu) and a drink before enjoying the beach and a beautiful October Sunday. Friendly service. New and very clean.

We like coming up here for a night cap to wind down. It's a nice view at night and the drinks are good and plenty.

if you want a good table to see the sunset, get there 90 minutes prior. Hard to beat the view and the drinks were solid.

Best view in Clearwater Beach. Great new bar with great food and drink specials. Fun crowd, especially during sporting events. Nothing beats watching football on the giant projection TV. I would highly recommend checking out this awesome venue.
